Our most recent project, undertaken with great pride, was for Redtail Espresso in Lafayette, Oregon. (Visit their website at redtailespresso.com). Redtail Espresso is renowned for its exceptional brews and cozy atmosphere, and they turned to ORIWS to rejuvenate their building’s exterior, which had seen better days.
Step 1: The Transformation Begins with Vinyl Siding Removal
Our journey with Redtail Espresso started with a thorough demolition process. As shown in the image to the left, we removed the dated, weathered, and unattractive red and green vinyl siding and trim, making way for a fresh start.
Step 2: Waterproofing for Durability
To ensure the building’s longevity and protection, we focused on comprehensive waterproofing. We employed Tyvek wrap and tape, expertly sealing every staple and seam to guarantee absolute water-tightness. This crucial step ensures the building remains safe and dry for years to come.
Step 3: Gable Facia Replacement and a Touch of Elegance
ORIWS then turned its attention to the gable facia on each side of the building, addressing any rot or damage. We expertly replaced the deteriorated sections and repainted them black to complement the new high-quality stained cedar siding that would soon grace the structure
Step 4: Staining and Preparation for Perfection
Before moving on to the siding, we meticulously stained all sides of the cedar siding and trim. This preparation not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also protects the wood from the elements, ensuring long-lasting beauty.
